Overview

This tutorial demonstrates how to use the Qmail Administrator Panel to add email forwards and vacation messages.

Step 1

Open a browser such as Internet Explorer on any computer with an internet connection. Enter "http://mail.website.com" where "website.com" is your domain into the address bar. For our example we're using "http://mail.ripleyphotographic.com".

Step 2

When SquirrelMail appears please note the Qmail Admin link at the bottom of the page. Click Qmail Admin.

Step 3

Log into Qmail Administration.

If your email address is "jsmith@ripleyphotographic.com" then "jsmith" is your user account and "ripleyphotographic.com" is your domain. Enter your User Account, Domain Name and Password then click Login.

Step 4

You can change your account settings as follows:

Password Change
Enter your new password into the New Password and Password (again) fields.

Mail Forward
Under Routing, select Forward To and enter an email address to receive your messages.

Vacation Auto-Responder
Check Send Vacation Auto-Response and enter your message subject and vacation message.

Once complete, click Modify User.
